Art and craft is an important part of the education at Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs). It’s a way to develop creativity, cultural awareness, and appreciation for traditional arts and crafts. Art and craft activities also help students develop problem-solving and self-expression skills, and refine their fine motor skills. Here are some ways that art and craft is integrated into the curriculum at KVs:
Interdisciplinary learning Art, culture, and craft are integrated into academic subjects like social studies, history, geography, and languages. Hands-on activities Students are encouraged to explore different art forms and express themselves freely through hands-on activities. Variety of activities Children learn a variety of skills, such as wood-craft, sewing, and making things with different materials.
